i read a lot of fic, but i'm not impressed with most of it. and i'm annoyed by the tendency of people with rec lists to rec *everything*, which means you get the same recs on the same lists, over and over. of course, i still go to those lists when i'm desperate, so i have to thank those pages as well - thanks to all the other rec pages that feed my habit!this list is going to be a little different. i'll try to rec only stories i haven't seen on other lists. this isn't too terribly long, and the author tries very hard to write in Gambit's dialect, which i usually find annoying - but, damn, it's hot. i printed it out and read it five or six times the first night i found it, and have gone back to re-read it several times since. i can't quite put my finger on why i like it so much; the characterization of Hank, his understanding of Remy, Remy's need and kindness... it just pushed a whole bunch of buttons. go read it. i bet you'll agree.
