In late 2017, artists at Botnik used predictive text input to produce Harry Potter and the Portrait of what Looked Like a Large Pile of Ash,[1] a Harry Potter fanfiction. In the five pictures released, the work appeared to be bound as a book in a way that closely resembled the published Harry Potter books. A large part of the content was "nonsense", "absurd" and "word salad", but it nevertheless amused people. It was described as "AI-written", perhaps exaggeratedly.[2][3][4][5]
The released work starts at "Chapter Thirteen: The Handsome One".
Botnik also released an animated and voiced version in 2018.[6]
