Reactions and Reviews

The kid had an amazing smile, and if Ray was going to be queer -- and it looked like he was -- then he figured he got to enjoy stuff like that. So when Dief jumped out of the car, Ray was distracted by Johnny, Fraser was distracted by Ray's distraction, and neither of them noticed the kangaroo. By the time they did, it was too late.

Fraser had told Diefenbaker to stay in the car, but the dead guy was telling a story about the time Grizzly Flanders had accidentally made a pass at Polecat Barnum and got thrown into jail for inciting a riot.

Fictional Mounties, DeadBob, Marsupials and the road to self-realization... yeah, it's one wild ride, but it's so damned funny too *g*

This has the wacky charm of an episode, and I laughed repeatedly while reading. This story is hilarious, which is why everyone should read it right now. The slash is mild, hence the PG rating. [3]

Why You Should Read This:

Due South was great at taking implausible, crazy plots and making them seem normal within the context of the show – and this fic does the same. Who would suspect a kangaroo of being on the streets of Chicago, of all places? Casefic, but it’s Due South casefic, which means it’s hilarious and random and slashy. A delightful, fun read that’s not too long. If you’re in need of cheering up, this would be an excellent fic to try! [4]

Who doesn't rec this? Probably the most unique way of writing I've seen in the fandom. This has so many subtle jokes, and I about die laughing a hundred times[5]

Really funny while still in character, and quite similar to actual episodes (just with slightly more obvious Fraser/Ray K).[6]
