Grond the battering ram "was named intentionally to evoke the memory of the ancient weapon of Morgoth, the "Hammer of the Underworld".[2]. The Grond character and Freeform tags on AO3 are used for both weapons. Most explicit fic seems to be referring to Morgoth's hammer.
