Gertrude Kuslan was an early science fiction fan who collaborated with her brother Louis Kuslan on some fanac, including a stint as co-editors of Cosmic Tales. They had a zine publishing house together and were both charter members of the National Fantasy Fan Federation.
Kuslan dated Earl Singleton for a short time and, after learning that his recent suicide had been faked, helped him keep the hoax going with a performance of grief at the first Boskone that some fans found suspicious. She later wrote an article in Sardonyx explaining herself and apologizing.[1][2]
