"Generations" is a Forever Knight story by Imajiru. It was originally posted to the FKFIC-L mailing list, and then crossposted to www.fkfanfic.com and the author's personal website.
The story is set after third season episode, "The Human Factor", in which Janette DuCharme returns to Toronto having mysteriously regained her mortality. At the end of that episode, Nick Knight turns Janette back into a vampire. "Generations" is predicated on the idea that this would leave her ungrateful and unhappy.
In "Generations", Janette sends a mysteriously pregnant vampire to Natalie Lambert, raising the possibility of a second cure for herself. The lore that a pregnant vampire might become mortal comes from the episode "Baby, Baby".
