Food for Thought is a Star Trek: TOS Kirk/Spock story by Khiori.
It was published in the print zine Legends #7.
Summary
"Making the observation that when grown men share as much food as Kirk and Spock do, something other than friendship must be up, Commodore Wesley narrows in to try to prove his theory."
Reactions and Reviews
This story was one of my favorites, partly because it hit two of my buttons: a look at Kirk and Spock from an outsider's perspective (in this case, Commodore Wesley from "The Ultimate Computer") and two men sharing food (I love the cozy image of two men sharing food, even if they're not lovers; that was one thing I loved about the 1970s cop show "Starsky and Hutch"). And this story, like many extra-special stories, also ends with a question--although readers, and Wesley, can answer that question for themselves with reasonable assurance that they are right. [1]
