Flanvention was the first large American Firefly/Serenity fan convention.
It was held in December 2005 at the Burbank Airport Hilton and Convention Center.
Flanvention was almost held again in 2006, but scuttled at the last moment. It was supposed to have occurred December 8-11, 2006 at the Burbank Airport Hilton and Convention Center.
This con instead became the The Browncoats Backup Bash.
