First Light is a multimedia newsletter that began as a quarterly print publication in 1991, but later went to a monthly format. The print version ceased with issue #76 (December 1998), and the zine was online-only from 1999 to 2001. It was published as a monthly (except for June/July as one issue) e-zine from at least issue #71 (June/July 1998) - #104 (June/July 2001). One of the archived pages lists a cover gallery for issues #67-70, but since the later e-zines also have cover images, it is not clear whether those refer to print covers.[1]

Its regular Unsolicited Testimony section was collected and reprinted as The Best of Unsolicited Testimony.
