Filk from a Developing Country is a gen filk zine, the first filkbook published in Germany. Most of its songs are original tunes with musical notation included. The parodied songs include:
- Boy Heroes, based on: "The British Grenadiers"
- When Filkers Go A-Roving, based on: "A-Roving in the Night"
- Kulturkritiker (in German), based on: "Ja das Schreiben und das Lesen"
- Another Little Beggarman, based on: "Jolly Beggarman"
The original tunes include "Klingon Schoolkids' Catechism" and "Ose Ode to Odo," along with several other Star Trek songs of various eras.
Albums
There are two related albums/filktapes, called "Filk from a Developing Country, Vol. 1: Neofan" and "Vol. 2: Beyond." They were released in 1993, before the songbook was published.
