About

Summary is from the author's zine flyer:

This story begins thirteen years after "Return of the Jedi" and after "The Magnificent Seven" series finale "Serpents".

In a galaxy far, far away, a former member of the Alderaani Royal Court has challenged Han and Leia Solo for custody of their three children. Vowing to keep their family together, Han and Leia reach out to their family, friends, and allies to fight against the forces that would separate them. The Force, however, may not be with them. Word has spread across the galaxy about the rise of New Alderaan and the Alderaani refugees expect their Princess to lead them to their new home.

On Earth, an outside agitator has arrived in Four Corners to try an instigate a war between the Army and the local Native American tribes. The Seven, still recovering from the harm inflicted by Ella Gaines and the Territorial Governor, find themselves divided.

In the middle of all this, two very special children reach beyond their physical bounds as one family is ripped apart and another is stitched together.

From the zine:

This is a crossover story featuring my two favorite universes: Star Wars and The Magnificent Seven. I had been wanting to write a Star Wars fanfic story for several years, but it wasn't until I integrated The Magnificent Seven into the plot that I found a way to tel a very earthbound story with some very extraordinary characters. I also realized just how much fun writing crossovers could be. I hope that you find this story as fun to read as it was for me to write.

I believe that it would be unreasonable to assume that all Star Wars fans would be familiar with The Magnificent Seven and for The Magnificent Seven fans to be familiar with Star Wars. Therefore, I have written two separate introductions.

The first introduction is my Star Wars introduction, but it should be read by everyone. Since Star Wars is infinitely more popular and accessible than The Magnificent Seven, this introduction basically outlines where in the Star Wars timeline this story takes place, who the major players are, and discusses my views on certain aspects of Star Wars canon.

The second introduction is for Star Wars fans who may not be familiar with The Magnificent Seven. It will give basic character biographies and a general description of The Magnificent Seven universe.

The Introductions

Introduction One

As mentioned in the author's notes, the Star Wars universe is as vast as it is popular. I will not

pretend to be an expert on everything pertaining to Star Wars, but I have done my best to write my story in a consistent and understandable manner. Just so that no one gets confused, 1 would like to tell you a little bit about where my story fits into this universe.

The idea for this story developed long before the premiere of the "Star Wars: Episode 1: The Phantom Menace", so whatever canon was introduced from that movie will not be a part of my story. This includes any details regarding Luke and Leia's parents, midi-chioridians, and the Jedi Order.

To really understand this story, you have to have at least seen the original three movies: Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. It does not matter whether or not you have seen the original versions or the special editions, however, since I grew up watching the original versions, those are the ones that 1 consider canon. In other words, for purposes of this story, Luke Skywalker's original lightsaber is blue and Han Solo prefers to shoot first and ask questions later. This story takes place thirteen years after ROTJ. If you are not familiar with what happens to the main Star Wars characters after the end of ROTJ, you may want to do some reading in this direction. Han and Leia are married and have three children. The twins, Jacen and Jaina, are eight years old. Anakin is five years old. Luke Skywalker is a Jedi Master and he operates a Jedi Academy on the fourth moon of Yavin.

Several prominent characters in this story are not found in the Star Wars movies. Their presence may be somewhat confusing if you are not familiar with them. If you have any questions regarding these characters, please feel free to contact me at [email protected]. I will be happy to tell you how you can find out more information about these characters.

The characters of Ainnai Simara and Romor are my creations and belong to me. The details regarding Alderaani social hierarchy and culture are also my creation and belong to me. They may not be used in any other piece of fanfiction without my consent.

Introduction Two

The Magnificent Seven was a television series adapted from the 1960 movie of the same name. Produced by MGM Studios, Mirisch Group, and Trilogy Entertainment, the show aired sporadically on CBS between January, 1998 and June, 1999. CBS aired the two-hour pilot and the first eight episodes before canceling the show due to poor ratings. A grass-roots campaign brought the show back for a second season, but only eight (including one two-part episode) of the intended thirteen episodes aired in the United States before it was once again canceled. In February, 2000 TNN (formerly "The Nashville Network") began airing all the episodes, including those that had never aired in the United States.

Currently, the pilot episode is available on videotape. The pilot of The Magnificent Seven resembles the plot of the original 1960 movie. Seven strangers band together to protect a Seminole Village from the "Ghosts of the Confederacy", a renegade confederate Army regiment led by a disillusioned colonel. Each of these men has a unique trait or talent that reinforces the ties that bind them together as a group. In the first regular episode the men are hired to protect the town of Four Comers from the forces that would seek to terrorize the local citizenry.

I have prepared brief character descriptions which will include information on who the main characters of this show are and on the actors that portray them. I will also give an overview of the main relationships between the characters. I have done my best to keep the portraits free of my own personal views, but it would be wrong for me to tell you that these descriptions are completely bias-free. Therefore, if you would like to find out more information about this wonderful show or another point of view about the characters, 1 highly recommend that you seek out the many web sites dedicated to the show and its characters The show itself has many websites which offer character descriptions, episode guides, and mailing lists. If you would like more information, please feel free to contact me.
