The fairytale romance, also known as the storybook romance or Disney romance, is a romantic trope in both fanon and canon. It is a simple, archetypical love story (often invoking the true love trope), and almost always has a happy ending. The couple may face challenges, but these are usually of a dramatic and even fantastic nature, rather than more prosaic relationship troubles.
