Wiseguy Fiction
In 2019, Merricat described herself as a "method writer," and that she'd written "at least a hundred" Wiseguy stories, including a novel that's like "my own private Rashomon because I've rewritten some of the stories from two different points of view and in one case, three points of view." [4]
Starsky & Hutch Fiction
I started off in Starsky and Hutch and then there was a big controversy that I was apparently on the wrong side of. And, I can't honestly say I was run out of fandom, but I did not feel particularly welcome anymore. And it was really weird, I was so angry, and yet I was still writing, and while I was writing, I was thinking to myself, I'm going to write these wonderful stories, but I'm not going to let any of those people read them. Yes, I think it simply dawned on me because seriously, I started writing for the same reason a drug pusher starts pushing drugs. You get it for free if you do that. Yeah, exactly. I started writing because it meant I did not have to pay for [zines].... It's one of the free products, so, yeah, well, this is kind of stupid, because I don't and I wasn't reading anybody else's stories either, because I just was so angry... And then I ended up in Twin Peaks because there was no one else there... [5]
