EdLing is the slash ship between Edward Elric and Ling Yao in the fandom Fullmetal Alchemist.
Canon
Ling Yao does not exist in the 2003 anime, but he is a major supporting character in the manga and Brotherhood.
Ling meets the Elrics when he journeys to Amestris seeking an elixir of immortality that will give him the leverage to become emperor of Xing. He joins forces with them as he sees overlap between his quest and the Elrics' search for the philosophers stone. Ling gets possessed by the homunculus Greed, but the two end up defecting from the homunculi and once again teaming up with Edward Elric. (During this time, Ed refers to the two as "Greelin".) At the end of the series Ling returns to Xing, and post-canon images depict him as emperor.

EdLing is moderately popular within the fandom. On AO3 it is the most popular slash ship after RoyEd.[1] Many fanworks focus on their relationship taking place during the "camping trip" when Ed, Greelin, Heinkel, and Darius are on the run from the government together, but post-canon works are also popular and frequently depict Edward at the Xingese court. The ship is also sometimes depicted as a part of polyships such as Ed/Greed/Ling or Ed/Ling/Winry.
