Reactions and Reviews

... this is seriously one of the most erotic sexual scenes I've ever read. Let's start at the beginning. Starsky's at Hutch's funeral. Now hold on a minute, don't assume things too quickly. Because not even death can keep these two apart. Hutch starts haunting Starsky. But is it haunting if he's not really dead? Well, kinda undead to be exact. He had been getting sick for a while, but it wasn't until he was buried and back that we learn the why and what fors. And it's not just Starsky who's suffering through this turn of events, Hutch is very confused himself. He's learning who he is and wondering if he can lay claim to the man he once was.

That single droplet's power flared through him, stronger than heroin, stronger than alcohol, stronger even than orgasm. But where those other things had soothed, this vitalized, energizing him with a tingling that was more than intoxicating, that was utterly addictive. He'd needed this, wanted more...

There is nothing Starsky would not do for his partner and he proves it. Hutch is reluctant at first, but Starsky can be very persuasive. What develops is the more erotic sexual turning scene you will ever read. It's so gradual, so delicate, the way they take this step towards something new because forever is something they long for.

Hutch didn't disappoint him. Starsky lost sight of his friend's face as a curtain of sweat-damp, golden hair cascaded forward when Hutch lowered his head to Starsky's neck again. Those full lips started skimming Starsky's throat, their touch soft and cool, amazingly sensual.

They love each other, they take care of each other, and the orange juice scene at the end is just so sweet. No matter what changes their lives have gone through, they're still them. Two partners, bound together for eternity. [1]

Ending: It's not a "to be continued" where the story's left hanging. It's an indication that their lives together have not ended, so the story of that journey will continue on. Rosemary doesn't have plans to revisit the universe at this point and I think it doesn't need to be revisited because the beginning of their journey is more important than what happens next week or next year. tiranog told me that the story she had in mind for the sequel to "Eclipse" didn't have a happy ending, so that's why she never finished it. :)

Ro did give me permission to write a sequel to it. I have like 3 pages written (it was for a Paula Wilshe charity thing that someone bought at an auction 2 years ago). Unfortunately I have gotten writer's block on this story, as it is very hard trying to write a story that sounds like Rosemary's and keep it in her style (which is beautiful).

I have always loved vampire stories and this story was hot. To me, Rosemary is one of the best S/H writers in the fandom. Thanks for rec'ing the story! [3]

She's a wonderful writer and a lovely person:) It is a very hot story and I love that she wrote it. Ro's AUs are plots that I'd never consider prior and then she writes it and I go "okay, this is totally what I needed." She told us her new AU idea at SHarecon and once again, only Ro could make me read and love the plot. It's a great writer that can do that and the eroticism of Eclipse proves that. [4]

As I told Ro on many occasions, she is the only person who could ever make me read a Starsky as an elf story! *g* [5]

oh, man. I love the creepy, freaky stuff, and this was awesome. first time, too! gahh... actually, make that two gaaahhhhs.... thanks! [6]

Lovely. Eroticism, vapirism, and orange juice. You can't beat it. [7]

"Eclipse" by Rosemary C. --A death story--or not. Well written, very sexy story and don't stop reading if the first part seems a little morose. Keep going! I like the fact that it is a happy ending, with reservations. [8]

...another nifty AU: Eclipse, which is...so careful in the way it sets up its surprises that I don't want to give it away. But go read it, it's--it's *neat*. [9]
