Recs and Reviews

Drift by Rose Ferguson - A quiet story, without crashing anvils. Rose gently tugs her readers in the direction she wants them to go, with her subtle, understated, elegant prose. Also, good dialogue. I really loved this.[1]

This was just ... sweet and gently funny and mildly tension-wracked. No big traumas, except Clark's usual adolescent-issues-magnified-by-superpowers. An absolutely adorable Lana. Yes, I said adorable. Sweet, gentle, understanding, supportive, a good friend -- all the things that M&G *want* their Lana to be but push too hard at. I want more of this because I want more of this Lana. And Lex and Clark are woobies always. And poor Jonathan really needs something for stress reduction. *recommended*[2]

Someone on TWoP recced this very highly, and so I wandered over, and oh MAN this was sweet! Perfect lovely story to read. Just--yes. So sweet. Floating. Mmm.[3]

Although I'm not sure I agree with the Lana characterization, this story left me sighing happily nonetheless.[4]
