Dreamflower is an author in the Lord of the Rings fandom. A long time fan of the books, her interest was further ignited with the release of the Lord of the Rings films and the discovery of internet fandom. She began writing fan fiction in early 2004, posting her first stories at the Stories of Arda archive. A prolific author, she had written over 600 fanworks as of 2014. Her work often focuses on hobbits, and is usually gen or non-explicit het in genre. She also writes essays and poetry.
In 2007 she was asked by ceshaughnessy to join her in co-moderating a mailing list focussed on Lord of the Rings gen fic. The group, LotR GenFic Community, has been quite successful, and has spawned two challenge communities on LiveJournal, LOTR Community Challenges and Lord of the Rings Big Bang Challenge, as well as an archive, Many Paths to Tread.
Dreamflower is also the winner of a number of Middle-Earth Fanfiction Awards in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.
In addition, she is co-moderator of the LiveJournal communities Shire Kitchen, and LotR Crafts.
