- There are some excellent stories - fanfiction, original and uber - out there floating around in the ether of the world wide web. The sheer volume of Xena fanfic alone makes it quite a daunting task to find what's good or what's to your taste.
- I found the review sites such as Lunacy essential to help me find the stories that my peers and the bards I admired were reading. Sites like Blurb coninue the tradition.
- I started writing reviews myself, first for the Center for Xena Studies, then for The Bardic Circle and for Blurb. These are the stories which I most admire - the ones that touched me the most. Or the ones that made me laugh the most, or cry the most, or think the most.
