Canonicity

Though J.K. Rowling stated in a post-Deathly Hallows interview that Draco eventually marries Astoria Greengrass, many fans believe that a romantic relationship between Draco and Pansy while they were at Hogwarts was strongly implied, especially in Half-Blood Prince, and thus that it should be considered canon. Others disagree, and believe that because it was not officially confirmed it is fanon, and still others consider the pairing "semi-canon."
