Doom Patrol is a superheroes team from DC Comics.
A TV series based on the comic books premiered in February 2019. The series was renewed for a third time, with the fourth season aired in December 2022 being its final season.
Canon
The team first appeared in My Greatest Adventure #80 (June 1963), and they remained the featured characters of My Greatest Adventure, which was re-titled Doom Patrol as of issue #86 (March 1964). The comics focus on a group of super-powered misfits whose "gifts" caused them alienation and trauma.
Grant Morrison and Gerard Way are two of their best-known writers.

The TV show included a backdoor pilot for Dead Boy Detectives and contributed to their fandom.
