Digthewriter is a well-known fanwriter and fanartist, and – in the words of a fellow fandomer – "The loveliest nerd and quite proud of it". Dig has been in fandom for over six years, and they have since become one of the most reliable and steady participants in fandom fests and challenges. Dig writes in quite a few fandoms but Harry Potter and Merlin BBC are their main fannish focus. The slogan of their blog thus reads: Would you like some Merthur with that Drarry? Dig is a multi-shipper and loves several m/m and f/f pairings and threesomes; they have a strong love for Rarepairs.

Pinned to the top of Dig's blog is a quote from Rupi Kaur's book Milk and Honey, which wonderfully summarises their approach to creativity, art and writing:

Dig is incredibly well organised. The tagging system of their blog on DreamWidth is exemplary, showing all the many communities and fests they have created works for, all the many pairings they have written and arted, and all the fellow fandomers for whom they have created fannish gifts.
