Canon Background
Delek is the name of the symbiote. His host's name is unknown. Delek is a member of the Tok'ra High Council and thus one of the leaders of the Tok'ra. He appears to have a somewhat lower opinion of human hosts than Tok'ra normally do, and do not appreciate them having too much influence over the symbiote, or a too independent spirit. Delek is thus worried about the effect of Tau'ri hosts on symbiotes, such as Selmak, and is not certain the Tok'ra should accept any further Tau'ri hosts.
History
He has only had limited dealings with Earth, and not very successful ones. The highest priority for him is the interests of the Tok'ra, and he is worried about the Tok'ra alliance with the Tau'ri and the Jaffa.
Fandom
Delek is not generally a very popular character, no doubt due to his disagreement with Selmak and somewhat derogatory remarks to Jacob Carter about human (Tau'ri in particular) hosts and their influence on the symbiote.
Fanfiction
Delek's unpopularity means there are few fanfics about him, and those that exist generally cast him as the villain. Recently, this seems to have changed some, with fanfics appearing that consider him a self-assured character with some annoying traits, but one who has both good and bad sides - and who actually has some valid points about the Tok'ra and the Tau'ri.
