Reactions and Reviews

A wonderfully warm, funny, and erotic story. I could feel the aura of sensuality permeating the ship. And McCoy's self-defense lesson was truly hilarious - I'm still giggling at it! [1]
This story was interesting in that it was composed entirely of narrative. This left me feeling somewhat removed from the situation and I had difficulty "getting in" to the story. I like a little more personal involvement. The premise was a little hard to accept — the whole ship working to get them together and Kirk and Spock not suspecting a "put on"? [2]
A bit far fetched, but enjoyable. I just don't see either of them getting together that quickly or that easily. [3]
First of all, I'm a real sucker for a scene where McCoy abandons dignity for the sake of his two friends. That the scene involved made me laugh was a bonus. Added to this is an entire conspiring crew to make the mixture complete. This was obviously the bulk of the story, to say, the fourth commercial.[4]
When I first read this vignette, I must admit that I was disappointed. The set up was good, the idea interesting, but nothing happened. I wanted more. It was only 21 pages later that I realized this was the teaser. (I never read the index.) [5]

I've never been on a dull voyage, but this certainly provided quick relief for a dull evening! Matchmaking by the whole crew — neat! I just rolled in the floor with the expertly tiled and cleverly phrased description (I can't give it away) of McCoy's little accident. Backslapping good fun! [6]}}

My evening started with a rather lengthy read I just couldn’t get my teeth into. Kind of boring, like a dull voyage. Then I ran across this little gem. And it did provide an instant cure!
Nothing much to it, just a few (400 or so) crew members trying to find a way to make Spock smile. Such an intriguing pastime. Interestingly they immediately agree that for the project to be successful it must in some way involve Jim Kirk!
Written with great good humor and a love and understanding of all the characters, this delightful little romp is guaranteed to make you smile. And, yes, Spock smiles too—but not in front of the crew! [7]
