Countdown with Keith Olbermann was a news and opinion program hosted by Keith Olbermann, and it is one of the real news source texts for Pundit RPF fandom. Two Countdown guest hosts, Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnell, went on to host their own MSNBC shows, and writer Aaron Sorkin observed the production of Countdown while researching his upcoming series about cable news[1].
