A cosplay photo collection (コスプレ写真集, kosupure shashinshuu in Japanese) is a book, magazine, CD-ROM or DVD containing photos of cosplayers in costume. Cosplay photo collections are published by fans in Japan and elsewhere as doujinshi and sold at doujinshi conventions and doujin shops.[1] Cosplayers who rent a space at a convention to sell their photo collections often stand behind the table in costume and bring laptops or netbooks to show samples of their CD-ROMS or DVDs. In the case of online doujin shops, cosplay photo collections can often be purchased as downloads as well.

Cosplay photo collections can range from photos of individuals to elaborately staged group photos, series of photos that tell a story, and even entire manga created from staged photos with added text balloons and sound effects.
