Content creator is a term used broadly to encompass digital media creators, but particularly to describe online video creators such as streamers and YouTubers.
In MCYT fandom, the term is often abbreviated to CC, and used as the opposite of c! or Cubito, to refer to a streamer themselves rather than the in-game character they play.
Content creator may also be used to refer to creators of fanworks.
Involvement in Fandom
Digital content creators tend to be closely connected to their fandoms in a way that The Powers That Be typically are not. This may involve engaging with fanworks, chatting with fans on social media, or just reading chat messages on Twitch sent by fans.
