Connor is a police investigator android whose job is to hunt down sentient androids that have deviated from their programmed behaviors. He is first seen in August 2038 when he is sent by CyberLife to negotiate with a deviant android who has taken a young human girl hostage. In November 2038, Connor is sent to the Detroit City Police Department to aid in the investigation of deviant androids across Detroit and is assigned to Detective Lieutenant Hank Anderson.
Due to the highly interactive nature of the game, Connor's personality can be determined by the player, and these paths are typically classified as "deviant" or "machine" by the fandom. Unlike the other protagonists, Connor can either become deviant or remain loyal to CyberLife throughout the entire game, which prompts different endings.
