Reactions and Reviews

1989

I liked the way this began, and I liked the fact that even though the aliens were never seen, their benevolence was clear. Spock's insistence that Kirk be notified so he wouldn't worry was a good illustration of Spock's concern for Kirk outweighing his concern for himself. [1]

This story caught my eye right from the beginning. It peaked my curiosity by not letting on who was the injured person. Well, being a nosey person I just had to find out who was injured and to do so I had to read on. By the time I had figured out who was the injured person I was hooked. My favorite part of the story was Kirk's technique for waking Spock from the Healing Trance. Unique to say the least, but very effective. I also liked Spock's sense of humor. I always knew he had one and 1 love it when authors such as Charlotte are able to bring his humor out. [2]
