Chitose/Tachibana is the ship between Chitose Senri and Tachibana Kippei from Prince of Tennis.
Canon
Backstory
Chitose and Tachibana were best friends and teammates back in Shishigaku. They were known as the '2 Wings of Kyuushuu' as they dominated their region and powered Shishigaku to a semifinal appearance at the Nationals. However, their bright future and partnership hit an unexpected setback after Tachibana's Abare Dama technique accidentally injured Chitose's right eye, blinding him. This forced Chitose to quit the team.
Filled with regret, Tachibana gave up his style of violent tennis, cut his long blonde hair and dyed it black as an atonement. A month later, Tachibana's father transferred the family to Tokyo, where Tachibana enrolled at Fudomine.
It was only after learning that Chitose has picked up tennis again in Osaka after transferring to Shitenhouji did Tachibana finally returned to the sport.
CURRENT STORYLINE:
Tachibana leads Fudomine to multiple victories, qualifying for the National Tournament. Eventually, Fudomine and Shitenhouji finally face each other in the Quarterfinals of the National Tournament. Even though Fudomine had already lost the previous two matches to Shitenhouji and could not afford one more loss, even when Tachibana unleashed Mojuu no Aura, Tachibana did not hit a single ball to Chitose's impaired right side, because he knew Chitose lied about his recovering eyesight to make him feel better.
Still feeling guilty about damaging his best friend's tennis career, Tachibana also purposely moves his head into the direction of Chitose's smash and takes a shot directly to his eye as a direct atonement for his actions a year ago. The match ends in Chitose's victory, but Chitose notes that the reason for his victory was Tachibana not aiming for his blind side, out of consideration for his injury.
After this match, the both of them reconcile for good.
U-17 Camp:
They finally pair up to play doubles for the first time in over a year during the Team Shuffle Tournament. The Chitose-Tachibana pair play Doubles 1 against their old seniors from Shishigaku, Issa Washio and Shun Suzuki. The two are equal until Chitose and Tachibana bring out their special shots the Kamikakushi and the Abare Dama respectively. However, their opponents revealed Synchro. As the match progressed, Chitose and Tachibana developed their own 'Unknown Wild Beast-like Synchro'. However, they still lost 7-6, even if the high schoolers watching were left more nervous at the close match.
Trivia:
1. Chitose 'met' Tachibana first, he saw him playing tennis at the age of 10 and becomes interested. Tachibana seems to have no clue about this.
2.They met properly when they were both 12, and they only became friends after having a huge fist fight at a riverbed (Month: May).
3. Months after that, Chitose pairs up with Tachibana to put on a Japanese drum (wadaiko) performance at the culture festival. They win the Judges' Prize (Month: Sep).
4. Chitose and Tachibana begin to be called Kyuushuu's 2 Wings after their strong showing at the Newcomers' Tournament.
5. The Chitose and Tachibana siblings seem close, for they visited Tokyo Disneyland together. An also gives Chitose chocolates for Valentine's Day.
6. Even after Chitose transfers to Shitenhouji in Osaka, he still made the effort to travel to Tokyo to observe the 3rd place match for the Kantou Tournament, Fudomine vs Rokkaku. It is unknown if Tachibana noticed his presence.
7. When Inui and Yanagi were helping Inoue look for Chitose to interview, they predicted that he should be practicing with a high schooler to better his tennis. Instead, it turns out that he was practicing with Tachibana before wandering off. Tachibana directs them to his predicted location.
8. Chitose's favourite colour is daffodil yellow - the exact shade of Tachibana's hair colour back in Shishigaku, when Tachibana was known as the Golden Lion and they were the '2 Wings of Kyuushuu. Meanwhile, Tachibana's favourite colour is dark navy, which happens to be Chitose's hair colour too.

Prince of Tennis Rising Beat Additions:
1. Tachibana knows of Chitose's tendencies to eat instant noodles when he misses dinner, and hence nags at him to eat more healthily. He even cooks meals for Chitose after dinner time. Chitose claims that Tachibana's fried rice is the tastiest food he has eaten; Tachibana replies that it's just a simple recipe.
2. Chitose often thinks about their past and wonders how their paths would be different if his injury had never happened. Tachibana, when he hears about it, tells him not to overthink things because they are fine now.
3. Chitose is also seen to be watching how Tachibana interacts with his fellow Fudomine juniors and mentioning how much he has changed from before, and he's unsure if he likes it or not.
4. Tachibana willingly listens to Chitose ramble about Muga No Kyouchi .
5. Chitose teases Tachibana by threatening to reveal his more rebellious past in front of his teammates during the Team Shuffle Match. Tachibana cuts him off before he can say anything too incriminating. Gin is interested.
6. Coach Kurobe comments on Chitose's profile that he 'hopes he can properly receive treatment for his eye without holding back due to Tachibana.'
