Cherish the Past are the archived posts from threads from the Idealists Haven message board that where posted between 2006 and 2007. After the announcement of Season X, the CTPs were re-posted as a countdown until the premiere date for the six new episodes.

Over 210 days, each day a special thread was posted in the Haven's "Cherish The Past'" sub folder by user Polly. The posts featured one episode/movie of The X-Files with screenshots from chrisnu and trivia/back ground information called Tidbits & Musings from various sources (that includes memories, gossip, interviews, articles and secondary literature), shooting locations, as well as Once & Future Retreads that listed actors that could be seen on other episodes of The X-Files and/or other Carterverse shows.
Each post was closed with the phrase
(...)Please share your first impressions, favorite (or cringe-worthy) moments, classic lines, favorite fanfic, nagging questions, repeated viewing observations, etc., as today we celebrate "[episode name]".Polly

The posts were archived by X-Files fan fiction writer Christine Leigh on her author page. The list on the page is sorted alphabetically ascending by the episode name not by the air date or production code which is unusual for listing X-Files episodes and thus unhandy for looking up a specific CTP of an episode.
