Chase/Marcus is the slash pairing between "brothers"/"cousins" Chase and Marcus from the Disney sitcom Lab Rats.
Fandom
While Marse once had a page on the Lab Rats Wiki, it was permanently deleted on August 25, 2015, the last of four attempts.[1][2]
Incest
Similar to the ship Brase, Chase/Marcus has received recent criticism due to its implications of incest. Chase and Marcus were both created by Douglas Davenport, who Chase may be biologically related to.[3] Marcus is an android, and thus not biologically related to either Chase or Douglas, but he viewed Douglas as a father. Chase refers to Douglas as his uncle, since his adoptive father, Donald Davenport, is Douglas's brother, but neither Chase nor Marcus considered themselves siblings.
Fanfiction.net user tiffanydavenport, who claims to have been in the fandom since 2012, argues that "if it was incest there wouldn't be at least 20 fics with that ship," and points out that since Marcus and Chase were not raised as family, there are not issues of emotional incest, either.[4] Arguments have been made that, due to the abuse Marcus went through, "he would reject the davenports as being family."[5]
