Reactions and Reviews
This is a gentle tale of Kirk's 100th birthday and Spock's undimmed love and desire for him. Practically the entire story is a loving conversation between them. [1]
I love this story, Anna! The characters seem so very true to me, their conversation so plausible. That Kirk’s surprise birthday party was no surprise is such enjoyable proof he isn’t losing his faculties, even for a “man his age”. The gift of an IDIC made of parts of the lost Enterprise is a very inventive and nicely sentimental premise. It is one I can believe, as is the manner in which the materials were obtained by our favorite Vulcan. This story will stay with me for a long time. I would love to see the medallion myself. What a treasure! [2]
