Cellophane: A Sero Hanta Zine (alternatively known as The Cellophane Zine) is a fanzine featuring fanfiction and fanart centering around Boku no Hero Academia's character Sero Hanta.
The zine opened contributor applications in April of 2019[1] and was open for preorders from August 2019 through September 2019. Physical copies and merchandise (merch) bundles were shipped in November 2019, and the shop offered digital PDF sales during December 2019[2].
About
Sero Hanta is a character from the manga Boku No Hero Academia who has received a large fan following due to the Spiderman-like nature of his Quirk, or superpower - he shoots tape from his elbows.
The moderation (mod) team of The Cellophane Zine realized that this awesome character had yet to feature in his own unofficial fanzine, so they formed a project that would give Sero Hanta the attention he deserved.
The zine offered merchandise options that included charms, prints, a bookmark, vinyl stickers, and washi tape, as well as the physical book and a PDF version that contained extra content not available in the physical copy of the zine (such as artist works in progress, additional Sero-centric fiction, and answers to the "Sero Says" series of Tumblr messages). The bundle options were as follows:
- Masking Tape Bundle: Digital PDF Only
- Vinyl Tape Bundle: Physical Book and PDF
- An option was added to the Vinyl Tape Bundle: you could add the bookmark and prints
- Duct Tape Bundle: Physical book, PDF, two 2 x 2 inch double-sided Sero charms, two 4 x 6 inch Sero prints, and one 2 x 6 inch double-sided Sero bookmark
- Cellophane Tape Bundle: Physical book, PDF, two 2 x 2 inch double-sided Sero charms, two 4 x 6 inch Sero prints, one 2 x 6 inch double-sided Sero bookmark, two 3 inch vinyl Sero stickers, and one 3/4 inch roll of Sero washi tape.
After hitting its stretch goal of 100 orders, the mod team was also able to offer a free enamel pin with every order that included a physical book.
