It looks like we might not need this category since there are only two pages in it and both are also categorized under Age of Sail.--æthel 16:02, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
- Works for me. --Mrs. Potato Head 16:21, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
- I thought we said every fandom gets its own category, no matter how small the fandom. Is there now a limit how many pages a fandom has to have before it can have a fandom category or do we sort smaller fandoms now as Fantasy, Science Fiction, Western, Age of Sail, etc.? There are three items in this category and the knitted Temeraire is very obviously the dragon from the Temeraire series. Also, there are Temeraire communities, fanfiction, and some fusions with other fandoms, so there is no way to say that it will stay at three items. IMO the Temeraire page shouldn't be categorized as Age of Sail. Instead I would suggest adding the Temeraire category and the category of the other fandoms as a subcategory to the Age of Sail category. --Doro 16:23, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
- According to the policy, ever fandom should get its own category. I was thinking that in cases where we have an umbrella fandom with subfandoms (or with multiple source texts that might not all have separate fandoms of their own, a la C6D), we could give all the fandom pages the umbrella fandom category rather than make a bunch of categories that will only have one or two pages in them. However, as you point out, this reasoning may not apply to Temeraire since there's plenty to say about this fandom.--æthel 19:09, 12 June 2010 (UTC)
