Category talk:Multimedia Communities

I think this is a misleadingly named category: "multimedia" meaning "multifandom" is from the print era, whereas "communities" categories on Fanlore most often (though not always) refer to online communities. If people want a multifandom or panfandom communities category, it should be named something less confusing. It should also not be placed under Media Fandom--the two communities currently in the category are not media fandom communities. Media Fandom is a historical term from Anglophone science fiction media fandom, later used by some LiveJournal western TV fans, that doesn't apply to online panfandom fanfiction communities in the 2020s.--aethel (talk) 23:38, 11 May 2024 (UTC)
