Castor Angevin was introduced in the Percy Jackson series, and died at the end of the series. He came to Camp Half-Blood with his brother Pollux Angevin and was inseparable with him until he was killed in the Titans War. His popularity at all can be attributed to Son of Seafoam, a PJO fic where Big Three kids are hunted and Percy disguises himself as a child of Aphrodite.
In canon, Castor was a very minor character who was killed and his brother mourned.
Son of Seafoam
Castor and Pollux mostly kept to themselves at Camp Halfblood, but Castor somewhat befriends Percy, who is disguised as an Aphrodite kid. Developing a crush, he follows Percy on a quest, and they get together in the book. However, he is still killed while pushing Percy out of the way of a lightning bolt thrown by Zeus meant to kill him.
One of the most senior members of the camp, Castor kept to himself but was well-liked, with a friendly, kind, and sometimes petty personality. His fatal flaw was loss, contrasting with that of Pollux's (loneliness). In Descendents of Olympus, he is brought back from the dead by Nico di Angelo and reunites with Percy, though they do not get together right away.
