Carol Shuttleworth was a fan fiction writer and a filk singer. She, along with her group DeHorn Crew sang "Banned from Argo" with Leslie Fish; 3 min 23 sec version. According to the cover of Vince Emery's "Star Trek Comedy: The Unofficial Album" LP, the DeHorn Crew also included Carol Shuttleworth, Kathleen Taylor, Robin Oye and Mary Frohman. She, DeHorn Crew and Leslie Fish recorded an filk LP album in 1978 called Solar Sailors.

Her writing appeared in Thrust ("On The Beach") and she also wrote Anexar, a novel.
