This was a twist on a common story plot (I love those). How many times have the boys agonized over, can we still do the job now that we're involved? Well, in this case, being involved does make a difference, a horrible one. It leads to events that severely traumatize both guys, and CI5 as well. Which is really cool. Afterward, they need to see if they can recover themselves, their jobs, and their relationships. I would have liked to see more depth here. The character of Doyle's sister is not as well developed as I'd like, given that she ends up being a major force in the reconciliation. Towards the end of the story the emotional events seem to develop too easily. I wanted to be shown the shift in perspective that allows rapprochement, to feel it. All the elements were there, and many of them were done well, which only made me want the rest more. It's a dilemma, yes? [1]
