Caleb Widogast & Nott the Brave are a popular friendship in Campaign 2 Critical Role.
Fandom
Initially, both the cast (and their characters) and the fans took the Caleb & Nott dynamic as a father-daughter kind of relationship, but after [[Nott the Brave|Nott] explained in one of the episodes she's the parental figure in their relationship, fans took that and ran with it. As a result, Nott is extremely protective of caleb in fanworks, some even going as far as putting that dynamic into words (with Nott admitting she sees Caleb as her son, or calling Caleb "Luke's brother). She's usually the one delivering shovel talk to Caleb's love interests in fanfics. A trope taken directly from the show is having Nott insist that Caleb's the leader of the group and commenting how he's the most powerful of all the wizards.
