Bittersweet Symphony is a Cedric/Harry fansite.
- I decided to do a site dedicated to a 'fanon' couple as opposed to 'canon' because I personally love slash and I wanted to emphasize this as most slash-dom sites seem to fall into oblivion when it comes to the Harry Potter fandom. What can I say, I'm a fan at heart and I'm very proud of it.
- In the end I chose a couple that just recently became popular with the premiere of the fourth movie - Harry and Cedric. I recommended a few H/Cs pairings before, but they all pretty much ended up the same. Harry and Cedric get together, Cedric dies, yadda yadda yadda . . . all the same. But after the movie, writers have been getting more creative and that's when I decided to use this pairing. It's a lot more versatile now than I had originally thought and all the new fanfiction has made me love the pairing even more to the point where I'm obessessed and can't think about anything else . . . or read anything else. lol.
- The name 'Bittersweet Symphony' fits their situation I think. Their time spent is bittersweet because it can't last forever, but also neither of them regret it. It's a song that must come to an end no matter how beautiful it is.
The fansite was originally hosted on Potteritus.net before moving to mad-slasher.net sometime in or after 2010.
