bitsy is a lightweight tool for creating small video games or worlds that was created by Adam Le Doux. As with other video game engines that emphasize ease of use, bitsy is sometimes used in fangame development.

As its documentation says:

the goal is to make it easy to make games where you can walk around and talk to people and be somewhere.

Forks and Clones

Because bitsy is open-source software, other people are free to fork the source code to create editors that suit their own purposes based on bitsy's foundation. Some editors derived from bitsy are bipsi, Bitsy HD, bitsy 3D, and Bitsy Color.

Use in Fangame Development
