Big Eden is a 2000 romantic comedy-drama film written and directed by Thomas Bezucha.

Canon

Henry Hart is a successful gay artist who returns from New York City to his rural hometown in Montana to care for his grandfather. He's welcomed back the townsfolk, all of whom know about his sexuality and are accepting and supportive. He's forced to confront his feelings for his high school friend while also being oblivious to how Pike Dexter (owner of the town's general store) feels about him.

One of the townsfolk who helps Henry by cooking is Widow Thayer, but Pike realises that the food she's bringing for the two aren't healthy and starts to cook food for them instead. He swaps out Widow Thayer's food for his own without telling either of them.

This film is well loved due to its portrayal of gay characters, love between two men and there being little to no homophobia present.
