Betty and the Bat is a mostly gen crossover fic between Ugly Betty and the Nolanverse Batman series. It was first published to Livejournal in 2008 where the first thirteen parts are uploaded. In late 2010, Piper published the first thirteen parts and a couple more chapters bringing it to sixteen in total. It had a sequel titled Betty, The Bat, and The Bird.

"While this fic does have two ships, they're actually secondary to the story. Selena/Bruce is there, definitely, but Betty/Daniel is really only hinted at in one particular chapter. Still, I enjoyed this fic so much that I simply had to rec it. Note, this is not a Betty/Bruce Wayne fic. Their relationship, though central to this fic, remains platonic and friendly. I just loved this crossover to death, because it's so in character and heartwarming, and really, you kinda do wish that Bruce Wayne/Batman had someone like Betty looking out for him. He needs it. Wonderful, amusing story with great character moments and interactions by all. ;)[1]"
