Beren/Lúthien is a modestly popular canonical pairing in the Silmarillion fandom. Their canon relationship is one of the most famed love stories In-Universe. Upon the graves of JRR Tolkien and his wife Edith are inscribed the names of Beren and Lúthien. Tolkien told his son after her death that Edith was the inspiration behind the character Lúthien and the Beren/Lúthien story.[1]
