Bennet Drake is a character from Ripper Street.
Canon
He is a policeman. He's a brawler, and his commanding officer frequently calls him in to knock people's heads together. (In the first episode of season one, he's in jail, pretending to be a common criminal engaged in an illegal fighting ring, as part of a scheme to bust said illegal fighting ring.) He's served in the military and clearly carries scars both internal and external from that experience. He frequents Long Susan's brothel and is sweet on Rose Erskine, and later on Bella Culvert.
