Reactions and Reviews

After Gauda Prime, Avon is placed on a ship that takes him to the world where Blake's clone once lived. There he meets Blake who tells him that it was actually the clone who died on GP. This story is told from Blake's point of view, and doesn't follow the usual path of 'it was the clone' stories. (The writer was trying to be clever with italics to distinguish thought from speech- maybe she should have left them out as they aren't really necessary and are a bit distracting.) [1]

a terrible formatting decision means that all the prose is in italics, with only the dialogue in roman. this is very annoying. the fic itself is fine - PGP, avon is rescued by blake who tells him it was the clone he shot. and together they work together to re-build the ship avon crash-landed in, although blake has forgotten how to do engineering stuff, which makes it difficult. nice twist at the end (which has been led up to well), and the dialogue is good, although the second person narration (blake talking to avon) doesn't sound much like blake to me and that makes it difficult to read the dialogue in a blake voice. also, second person is annoying.[2]
