Armageddon is a 1998 science fiction disaster film about an asteroid on a collision course with Earth. It stars Bruce Willis as Harry Stamper, the owner of a oil drilling company who is tasked by NASA to land on the asteroid and destroy it. His team includes Dan Truman (Billy Bob Thornton) and A.J. Frost (Ben Affleck), who is engaged to Harry's daughter Grace (Liv Tyler).
It is sometimes discussed alongside Deep Impact, a film with a similar premise that came out the same year.
