Books
The books are narrated from Lucy Carlyle's point of view, though Lockwood is still a main character. In the books, all characters are younger. Lockwood still has his trauma but he also acts like a younger teenage boy would.
Show
All characters are aged up to older teenagers in the show. This version of Lockwood is presented as more jaded and outwardly effected by his childhood trauma. His relationship with Lucy is also presented more maturely, though the boyishness comes through still in scenes with George Karim.
