Reactions and Reviews
Considered his brother's keeper, Data is asked for permission by Commander Maddox to have Lore's parts tested in a laboratory. Data insists that only Lore has the right to make that decision, bringing up the trial that proved his own sentience, and convinces Captain Picard to grant permission to have Lore reassembled. Maddox then sends a counselor who specializes in robotics to evaluate Lore's mental state. I found this counselor very likeable, and it was interesting to compare her counseling style to that of Deanna Troi's. Troi and Data also observe these counseling sessions, which often time bring about new insights into the personalities of both android brothers. Enblom does an excellent job portraying Data's relationship with his infamous brother and I found the ending (whish I won't give away) believable. [1]
