A lovely story filled with rich texture of Kirk and Spock cavorting in the Andorian Jungle. Slow delicate details and tender love making give this story a delightful quality. Good sequence of Kirk being attacked by a veining plant, (especially what vines!) Kirk's and Spock's attention and love for each other is nicely done. The editor's note mentions that this story was second place in the contest. [1]
